I am testing 4.12 in two of our satellite offices that until now have been WIN9x peer to peer networks. Seems to work well. The second office I am testing 4.12 in has an odd issue with WIN98 profiles (I think).
I have NOT enable profiles on the client side on the WIN98 boxes, yet when users log in, following the log on scipt, it displays the "Creating Profile" dialog box, then it consistantly calls up the "Welcome to Windows 98" app. Users keep unchecking the "Display this ... " at every startup option, yet the the "Welcome" app starts at every logon. Even my laptop does this. This E-Smith box is configured identically to the box I setup in another office, and I haven't modified any *.cnf files. In fact, it is set up vanilla, just as it installs. The only changes being I set up 4 I-Bays to be mapped as shared drives in netlogon.bat.
Any ideas?
