Squid Auth

Can anyone tell me how I can use the username / password combo setup for users in the SMA manager and force proxy auth? Here is my situation:

I have a WAN with 10 sites. There are admin leven users that need web access. All others do not need access. I want the admin users (that roam from location to location) to be setup with an auth for web access. I figured that if I can use the same username / password combo, it would be less to learn and be user changeable.

Any help will be appreciated!

We are using SME5 with the latest patch "blades" and no third party software.

Thanks!

Hi,

If you install this rpm, it will give you squid authentication, and will add a management panel to the e-smith manager.

Kind regards,

I tried this link and, although I can view the contents
of that web directory, I cannot download the file:

I was not using a proxy or anything ... so I
am pretty sure it is a problem on your end ...
