I have just discovered the mysqld.log file has hundreds of errors like the following;
020102 7:00:26 Aborted connection 283 to db: 'horde' user: 'hordemgr' host: l
ocalhost' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
020102 7:00:30 Aborted connection 288 to db: 'horde' user: 'hordemgr' host: l
ocalhost' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
020102 7:00:34 Aborted connection 292 to db: 'horde' user: 'hordemgr' host: l
ocalhost' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
020102 7:00:37 Aborted connection 293 to db: 'horde' user: 'hordemgr' host: l
ocalhost' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
I also have other errors showing up. In /var/log/qmail/current I get a lot of entries like the following;

What is the source of these error and how do I fix it?
The WebMail is also not sending out emails unless the recipient is a local user. I think this may be related.
this is really strange. the ouput doesn't really make sense. while this is running the line display flashes as if being updated;
[root@gateway /root]# tail /var/log/lastlog
8
[root@gateway /root]#
[root@gateway /root]# head /var/log/lastlog
8
[root@gateway /root]#
Anyway it is way to late for me to think about it anymore tonight.
