I followed some of the comments on here so that my exchange server (5.5)could send and receive e-mail to the Internet, replacing the MS Proxy box. However I can obviously no longer use OWA so does anybody know how I could allow POP3 or Webmail access as this is critical.

If you are using the web server on e-smith, then all you need to do is change the port that OWA utilises and also forwarded that port from E-Smith to your Windows box.

Basically you would have the Default Web Site on IIS running on port 1024 (for example) and then have your clients access OWA with the following:
http:www.yourdomain.com:1024/exchange

Thanks. I guess I wasn't very clear. That is pretty much how I used to use OWA however I would like to use IMP on my e-smith box rather than OWA.

I tried the following suggestion

You would like to use e-smith ( webmail ) to access your ms exchange server
?

If yes, it is easier than you think.
if you alter this file
/etc/e-smith/templates/home/httpd/html/horde/imp/config/defaults.php3/200IMA
PConfiguration and put your servers IP address in server = 'IPHERE' ;

It will do it.

Hi Toby,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you want to access OWA on the Exchange Server thru ESSG? If so, it is very easy with a few modifications. I know, because I have it running on our LAN and I'm able to access Exchange 2000 OWA thru it ok.

If you want to use IMP to connect to Exchange, then thats a very different story. I've checked the config file and it seems a little advanced. Have you manged to get it working thru IMP? If so I would love to see a copy of your config?
