Topic: some emails do not get delivered

Hi,

I have an SME server I use for mail. Some email gets delivered to the user when it arrives (smtpfwdd) but some arrives and never gets forwarded to the user account. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to which emails get forwarded to the user and which do not. The emails keep showing up in the log as attemted deliveries and the sender eventually gets an undeliverable reply from the postmaster of my ISP about 4-7 days after it was initially sent.

Is there any way to get rid of all of these emails that keep trying to get delivered but are not. (ie. some sort of queue flushing for incoming unforwaded mail) and is there some thing I am over looking, ie. Bandwidth issues.

Everything seemed to work fine until 2 weeks ago.

Absolutely any advice would be greatly appreciated.

the /var/spool/smtpd/spool/ is just filling up with messages. (I thought I would add this to the fray). Qmail keeps trying to deliver these messages. I am certain that these accounts exist. When the email finnaly fails several days later, the message failure comes from my ISPs postmaster.

Hope this adds to the trouble shooting.
