Hello everyone

I just have upgrade my e-smith 4.0 to 5.0, and everything seem to be right intil when it was finish, and will reboot, og then when it doing tht bootstrap consule nothing happen og it will not going trouth..

pleasse help..

The problem is an RPM database inconsistency between those versions. If you'd upgraded to 4.1.x first you would have been OK.

Here's how to fix your problem.

Boot in single user mode. To do that, type ^X at the splash screen, then:

  esmith single

at the LILO prompt. Now run:

rpm --rebuilddb
/sbin/reboot

It should be OK after it reboots.
