did autofs add this ?
fix is edit /etc/cron.daily/tmpwatch
The cd and floppy are subdirectories in an ibay.
Autofs allows access without mounting.
Install

create an ibay or use an existing one to hold the drives
then type the following, where server eq the ibay name
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event conf-autofs server
see dungog.net/sme for more information

[root@sme5 files]# ls -la /home/e-smith/files/ibays/server/files/

this assumes the following is correct for your cd and floppy
cdrom -> /dev/cdrom
floppy -> /dev/fd0
UsageIf you have disks in the servers drives they will be visible in the coresponding ibay subdirectory when you access them. If no disks are in the drives the floppy and cdrom directories do not exist. Note, The automounting needs 10 seconds to refresh if you insert another disk.
