Topic: hard drive space?

I have a 40gb IDE drive using SME Server 5 and I am getting a full disk msg after copying only 25gb of data onto the server.  Does Version 5 have a disk limit or does it hold a certain percentage of the drive for any reason?  I thought the server installation only required 1.5gb of space.
