Topic: Problems with DNS after upgde

Hi,

I have searched the forums for a answer to this problem but it seems I am alone, I will briefly tell of my set up be proceeding.

I have a firewall/router which I have given a static IP of 192.168.1.1
Under this I have a SME mail/file server IP 192.168.1.2, this one looks after DHCP, etc for all clients. This system has been working for months very reliablely, with no problems, all the w2000pro clients could surf the net and receive mail etc,
I have just upgraded to the lastest version of SME 5.1.2 and I am having problems with DNS lookups from clients and the mail server its self.

Note"""I have set the SME server in its configuration file to use gateway address 192.168.1.1

Tests I have performed
1) Ping works to a IP address on the internet, but not if you use the domain name instead.
2) All internal machine names can be resoved. eg www."smeserver".com.au, mail."smeserver".com.au, but nothing outside of its own domain.

Question
1) In the configuration of SME 5.1.2 its asks for a primary DNS address, if the server is accessing the internet through a firewall, do I need to put a address in here or leave it blank??

2)What is the difference between version 5.0 and 5.1.2 that would cause this problem?

I would really appreciate some assistance, it is becoming a little frustrating..
