Notice the line about Error reading from pppd..... Anyone have any ideas why this would have stopped working or what can be done to repair it?

I dont know what caused this but I have a similar problem in that I can connect and less than 30 seconds later I get disconnected and there is a message about 2 packets being out of sync.

What version of windows are you using

I'm using ME. I've come across your problem before but my problem is that I've been able to maintain VPN connections for as long as I want. I made a connection at 10am and then at 6pm tried again and it kicked me out with an error 650. I hadn't changed anything on the ME box so I tried rebooting the server and rebooting ME still no luck. I even tried system restore to take my system back a week or so without luck. It's got me beat.

Hi,

I have a VPN working with no problems, I'm using XP PRO, and had to disable the Data Encryption on the VPN Connection Properties.

I'm also using SME 5.1.2,

What version of e-smith/sme server are you using?

Kind regards,
Rob.

We are using XP Pro with ht esame settings and we continue to get error 800. I suspect it may be port related but have no way of knowing.

Any suggestions?
