I am looking for some help on backing up via a Tandberg SLR5 tape drive.
The SLR5 is not listed in the Esmith user guide, but it is fully supported by Redhat 6+. I have tested the drive under Windows and it works fine so the drive is not at fault. The SCSI card is a new Initio which is correctly identified. I have just installed the current Esmith 5.1.2 image onto my test server.
On boot the drive is correctly identified (file segment below) and when the backup job starts the drive will rewind but errors on write.
Any advice?
Thanks
Dave
