Topic: 4.1.2 to 5.1.2 Upgrade story!

WOW!!

All I can say is I am very impressed!!!

I was running e-smith 4.1.2 with several modifications I had done, as well as custom cron scripts and much more.  

I was beginning to feel that the system was a bit "old", but was leary of installing the new version, simply because I was afraid that it would bung up all my messages on IMP, and maybe all or most of my custom scripts.

I used norton Ghost to make an image of my HDD to CDR.  With a backup in my hands, I was less hesitant to upgrade.

So.....

I download the 5.1.2 ISO, burn the CD, and pop it into the server, and reboot.

All I can say is......10 minutes later I had a fully functioning 5.1.2 server, and all of my messages and scripts have been saved over!!  

WOW!!  

E-SMITH.........YOU GUYS RULE!!!
