Hi,

I know this is a security feature but is it possible to use a shared printer on a SME 5.0 or 5.1.2 without having to declare a user ?

Why can we create public i-bays and no public shared printers ?

Is there a way to do it ?

you need to edit smb.conf under the etc directory to allow guest printing (Providing the pritners have already been created)
 
Looks something like

[Printers]
Guest Allow = yes

Once this is done also make sure that the smb.conf is copied to the custom-templates folder so as to not have it overwritten
