blades administration permission denied

I seem to have run into an issue with my 5.1.2 server (stand-alone) whereby I am unable to use the blades management page in the server-manager.  (I'm not sure if this has ever worked since I upgraded to 5.1.2)  When I attempt to do so, I receive the message:

Current list of blades
An error occurred while fetching the list of available blades
Could not receive data from blades server

Checking in /var/log/admin_error_log reveals that ssh successfully added the key for the blades server to the known hosts file.  However, it then generates a "Permission denied" message in the log.  I've checked the known hosts file, and can see that the entry was added, so I'm assuming that the it has something to do with the key negotiation itself that is failing.  Any ideas?

Just to confirm, I can run ssh from the command line, and there is a public key file (identity.e-smith-blades-public) in the .ssh directory.

Thanks

steve
