Topic: e-smith-ipportfw??? not working

i just installed e-smith linux 5.1.2 and loaded e-smith-ipportfw  by typing   rpm -Uvh e-smith-ipportfw.rpm, etc and it loaded and i don't see any visaul manager for IP forwarding,  where is it?  its not in the webmanager veiw thing.

It is in the manager panel, under section CONFIGURATION called 'portforwarding'

What version of the rpm are you using?  The correct one for 5.1.2 is: dmc-mitel-portforwarding-0.0.1-4.noarch.rpm, created by the illustrious Darrel May.

Since Darrell's site seems to be down, and the rpm on e-smith.org seems to incorrect, here is another link to it:

Ok, how can i uninstall whatever i installed?  and install this one?

Try:
   rpm -e e-smith-ipportfw.rpm

Then install the new one.

Ok, its working now, i have a linksys router(8 port, 100mbit) and it currently does my DHCP and routers internet to about 12 machines.  can i replace the linsys w/ my e-smith box and use its prot forwarding instead?  any difference?  is anyone using this to do things like port 81 in goes to port 80 on their server for webhosting? since most ISP's now block port 80?

FYI- my Linux-E-smith box is a 200MMX 32 meg ram 1 gig harddrive.  will this preform slower of faster than my current setup?  also i want it to be game playing compatable, my linksys has up2 512NAT something, so i can ping 512 servers @ once.  What the e-smiths' limit?
