For the last week, I am seeing the following message in my W2K system log every couple of hours:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 3224
Date: 18/3/2002
Time: 10:41
User: N/A
Computer: P133
Description:
Changing machine account password for account P133$ failed with the following error:
The specified user does not exist.
Data:
0000: 64 00 00 c0 d..À
P133 is my W2K system's name. I'm on 5.1.2, which I upgraded to 36 days ago. It may be therefore that there is some password timeout after 30 days. However, I can see nothing in my samba logs nor in the messages file.
I've looked in the MS Knowledge Base, but there is nothing that covers the specifics of this error, nor in the Samba mailing list archives.
Has anyone else come across this?
