Topic: Jabber jud Directory service desn't work.

I have 2 SME 5.2.1 servers working with the Jon Blakely's jabber installation. Jabber is working ok but the Directory service doesn't work in both machines. Some body can help me with this problem?

Marcos,

When you say User Directory is not working, what do you mean. The user directory is not automatically filled when a user registers with the Jabber server. The users have to register with the User Directory and supply the required information. I have also noticed that the new version of myjabber client allows you to register with the JUD but will not search, whereas WinJab works fine.

On another note I am currently working on an updated RPM in which all transports including AIM and ICQ work. It will also not show presence of disabled transports in the jabber client. This part is ready.
I am also trying to create a jabber user admin page which will allow the admin to create users, groups, permenent conference's and update the user directory. This is sort of working. The user page grabs all the user names from the server and allows you to create accounts based on that. It creates a random password and e-mails it to the user. The user then logs into jabber and can change the password from the client.

Hi Jon,
How is the new jabber rpm coming? Need somebody to abuse/test it on?
Btw.. your other rpm is still working great, now if i could just understand mod_groups.. lol

I am using Jabbercom client. After I register a user in the directory, I tray to find this user with the find tool of my client sw, and I only can read "Could not access this agent".
On the other hand I think that your ideas about new improvements of this sw package are great and I want to give you my thanks and congratulations for your great job!
