You want this - free of charge

Yet you dont want your employees to use the web - free of charge.

loosen up steve!!!
I believe there is a difference between using free software and having employees surfing the web !!!

Many projcts rely on people using the "free" software...

just look at linux.....

okay, okay,

Nothing wrong with free software i agree but commercial organisations profiting from it is a little different. Supporting them helps.

I just imagined some scrooge getting rich from free software whilst denying is employes a couple of minutes use to check there bank balance.

yes but free software is allowed to be used by companies as well!!!

Look at it another way.... If companies were only allowed to use software that has been broght then the esmith server would not find its way into companies.

If we had to buy esmith how many people would still be using it - or at least using a non pirate copy!!!

cheers

hoay, rather than thoughtlessly posting messages here, why don't you look at the howto pages occasionally?  your questions are getting rather tedious.

Hi Hoay,

Do a forum search for SARG (check on visited sites) and SQUIDGUARD (blocks sites) I have these running successfully at my school.

Ooo man.

Do you see this little seach button right here?

Ever heard of google?

There are some very comprehensive HowTos in this site explaining howto use squidguard with e-smith.

And there are ready to use databases for "drugs", "porn", "ads", "aggressive" and such uncool stuff coming with squidguard.

And if you want to play big-brother, you can use calamaris together with squid to check the interests of your employees. If you want to.....
