I recently tried to install the e-smith server on a P166, 48MB RAM, 2GB HD and a problem with the install since the hard drive contains bad clusters. This was verified by running scandisk after booting to a WIN98 floppy. The version of E-smith I was using is 4.0. In a non-automated install of Red Hat Linux the option exists to check for bad clusters on the hard drive while formatting it. Is this option available by changing some configuration somewhere? If not, will it be available in a future release?
