Topic: cgi doesn't seem to work

Hi all

I have just installed 5.1.2 on an Acerpower 8000 system and I have encountered the following issue (the install completed without errors).

When logging in to the system at a terminal prompt I get the error message:

                     cut:  not found

after it has logged me in.

In addtion to this the web admin doesn't work properly; the base page loads fine but the links on the left (which execute a cgi scipt methinks) fail to load the appropriate page (if I type in the link directly the relevant page loads fine).

Are these two issues related?
What do these errors indicate?
What is the resolution for one or both?

I have reloaded the system clean just to be sure all was well but to no avail - I don't want to ge carried away with the config just yet in case I have to trash it again.

Any thoughts!
