NetLogon to Win2k ?

I am implimenting the e-smith\netlogon bat file throughout my LAN.

My client machines are various versions of Windows and the script is working fine to map to home directories and set the time, EXCEPT for one machine which unlike the others, is running Win2k Professional.  When I try to alter my network connection from a "workgroup" to a "domain" it complains that it cannot locate the domain.  Can I use NetLogon with a Win2k machine?

I believe that nt2000 believes it is the boss, it is newer so it wins by default the election...
