i am using the how and rpm located at http://www.khunjarnet.com/downloads/jabber/JabberIM_HowTo.htm

i can connect to my server ok, but every transport give me a unable to resolve hostname when i try to connect

i am using my domain name, foo.com for my jabber hostname, am i doing something wrong?

when i view properties of a contact i added (for example an aim buddy), it lists their address as friend@aim.khunjarnet.com

this is obviously the authors domain

Yes it is a bug. I am currently working on fixing it. I will keep you posted.

I too had this problem on installing the rpm - also noticed that the transports selected on the Manager screen did not necessarily active the correct transports within Jabber itself. (Still using V4.1 if this is relevant) Is this too a know issue?
