Mail not going through
« on: June 04, 2002, 09:03:53 PM »
I have some people located at another domain I need to be able to send email. But I cannot reach them using either Eudora or Mozilla from my workstation. I am using SME 5.1.2 as my firewall/mail server. (Eudora/Mozilla -> SME5.1.2 -> other mail server)

Tipical entry in /var/log/maillog:
Jun 3 11:06:32 tux smtpfwdd[15718]: forwarding to recipient client@domain
Jun 3 11:06:32 tux smtpfwdd[15718]: smtpdgGIe99 forwarded to 1 recipients

This would seem to indicate everything is ok.

I have been working with the admin of the firewall and mail at the other domain. She doesn't see any mail traffic from me at her end. Two exceptions: When I telnet into her mail server from my SME box, she sees my activity. When I sent her mail using the mail command on my SME box it goes through and she sees the activity.

I am not aware of having any problems sending mail to other domains.

Anybody have any suggestions as where to look?
