Greg, I can answer the one about pop-before-smtp: No, not that I know of. The changes made by installing pop-before-smtp are in /etc/rc.d/rc.local. The binary and logfiles are stored in /var/pop-before-smtp, this directory was created during the installation and it is doubtful that it would be backed up unless a full backup was performed. Not to worry about pop-before-smtp; you can simply reinstall it on the new box with no problems. All local system parameters/configuration settings are detected by the program.
Hope this helped,
Nathan
