Topic: server-manager access broken

Since adding (incorrectly) ip's within the "add local network" function of server-manager, I have been unable to access the server-manager.   Even by logging in as root and /sbin/e-smith/console I get the prompt for the Admin password, yet when placing the correct admin (or anything) password, I am returned to the console as though my password is incorrect.  Web access gives me a 'proxy error' as mentioned in a previous post:

Any ideas as to how to regain access?

Login as root.
Change the admin password ('passwd admin' at console)
/sbin/e-smith/console

Access the administrator console, type in the new password.
Let me know where that gets you.  If it's still breaking down let me know.

Even with the change, it acts like an incorrect password has been input. ??

All my other functions are working fine...just cannot access server-manager to revert to correct local network settings.

I can still login as admin to several site database applications with the newly made password, so it did successfully change.  Yet, I am not able to access the server-manager.  I really pulled a good one, eh?

I have attempted to find the config files affected by the change I made without success.  I will keep digging....If you have an idea, let me know.

logged in thru putty as root, /sbin/e-smith/signal-event network-delete ***.***.***.*(the ip i had created as a new local)

The entry still remained in /home/e-smith/networks, but I was able to login to the server-manager and remove the instance of local network and all is well again!!

I had the same problem when I added my production server's IP to my local server - I had no access to anything - not server-manager, websites - nothing on the production server (30 websites) - needless to say it scared the &^%$# out of me!
