Topic: Imaps transfer of messages, please help!!!

Reloaded my sme 5.1.2 for other reasons, but have problems with my backed up
of my imap messages.

sme 5.1.2 server and gateway with client windows2000 hanging off the server.
Using outlook express to read mail, imaps.
Now the imaps are working fine in outlook(send and receive ok), the problem is the old messages that I backed up.
I copied the users folders under e-smith folder where the messages or kept.
Tried to copy the massages back in to these folders and directories and get error.
It talks about the files being out-of-date or wrong date and or deleted, "bogus" is other word used.

I need these messages back into the users imaps in outlook, can I change the headers to allow them to be read or re-enter the email/imap system.HOW

Copy them back into the new folder,
make sure permisions are ok.

YES Copyed them back into the new folder,
yes make sure permisions are ok.

but the name have changed from

19299002.1900.0000.e-smithserver.tsarch.home:2,s

to

19299900~.loc

Windows machine has renamed them.

renaming hundreds of email files is a bit hard

Any idea's on how to get them back
