I'm very new with linux and e-smith.. but learning..

I wanted to upgrade to the new version of imp...

i downloaded the tar.gz file... but am not really sure what to do from here...

if someone could point me to the right direction that would be great...

Don't use the tar.gz file!

Read this:

and get these:
ftp://ftp.e-smith.org/pub/e-smith/contrib/DanBrown/RPMS/noarch/
