System Monitor

I haven't used my system monitor add-on in a while so today I thought I'd take a peek.  When I checked the Hourly stats I had no data, weekly shows that there has been no data since Tuesday or so.  I logged in and checked the sysmon dameon and this is what I found:
[root@pdc /root]# service sysmon status
sysmon dead but subsys locked

Any idea's what and why?  I haven't tried restarting the service, I thought I'd wait for a reply 1st.

Just received this in my admin accout:

Command was: /etc/e-smith/web/panels/manager/cgi-bin/.awstats/awstats.pl -h www.brummell.net < /var/log/httpd/awstats/www.brummell.net > /dev/null

does that provide any more help?

Just realized while I was out for a walk that Awstats has nothing to do with System Monitor.  Something must have broke both of them.  I did install SquidGuard this week, could that be responsible?  Maybe I'll just hunt Awstats and System Monitor down again later and reinstall them.

Hi Terry....this could just be wierd synchronicity at work but I also installed the snort/acid/guardian combo last week and now I'm not seeing anything in awstats.

System monitor appears to be working fine, though. I'm using the latest version of system monitor that shows latency, uptime and processes/runtime queue as well.

Nothing to write home about in /var/log/messages, any ideas, anyone?
