Topic: Slow Response from OE

Hi,

Anyone have any idea why the authentication between OE is so slow with the SME server v5? I am using imap as the protocol.

After the authentication, everything is fine.

But then after applying those changes, there is no apparent change to the speed.

To provide more details, the e-smith server is behind a firewall and the server is using a lease line.

As with the client side, all clients are running OE and the connection is over a ADSL line.

Both line are from the same ISP, however to make things clearer, when I use other ISP to do a connection, such as a cable or even a dialup, the connection is seamless......

Perhaps some one out there can help??

After installing v5.5, everything is ok now. But just to close the case, maybe someone can enlighten me?
