Manually install blade?
« on: July 06, 2002, 01:14:49 AM »
Hi

I wanted to install the 5.1.2 blade but run (as many others did) into the problem with the manually installed php4 upgrades.

But since that cancelled update of e-smith I can't access the control-manager any more. Running the navigation script (left frame) dumps core. As most other perl scripts run fine I did some testing and found out that only scripts using esmith:cgi or esmith:util crash. Those two don't seem to be damaged, though...

Does anyone have any idea what I could do? Is there a way to install the blade or replace some files manually?

Regards,

Michael

hi,

Here are the rpm's of this blade:
http://www.star-support.com/downloads/mitel/updates/SMEServer-5.1.2_Update2/

Install them with 'rpm -Uvh rpmname.ersion.package'

Thanks. I tried this. But it wasn't the problem. After a reboot and a thorough fsck it's all back running again. My disk seems to have had some crashed sectors.
