collecting mail form world.std.com

world.std.com sets up with extensive security.
This has its advantages and its problems.
Reerse lookup is required to collect pop mail
over T1 connection with another ISP.
This was just one of the layers that had to be peeled.

Their basic account is shell account and
pop is started when you go to the correct port 110

I have problems with multidrop mail collection
in that I get parse errors on attempt to collect mail.
Local mail distribution works ok set up multidrop
and with correct virtual domains.

When I run fetch mail from root login I do get error
on first try and ok on immediate automatic retry.
Interestingly fetch mail does not deliber mail to mail
delivery agent automatically. I will have to work out
settings.

Previous experience is with ISPs who run more
normal pop configuration.

Any comments???
