Hi,
I would like to have a go setting up a news server, using leafnode, I have read the info on customising e-smith, and am looking for a reference on "(Study the documentation for the Perl Text::Template mechanism to learn how to write templates.)" which you sugest, but can not find it, could you please help?

Or e-smith servers, use your choice of:

man Text::Template
info Text::Template
perldoc Text::Template

Log in as root and get a shell prompt (see FAQ for instructions), then type one of the commands that Gordon gave you.
