I'm trying to install dialmon (
http://www.quaking.demon.co.uk/dialmon.html) so I can control the modem in an SME server. I don't need all the features of Stephen Noble's package (
http://www.dungog.net/sme/howto/isp.html). I just want to have the modem controlled only by remote Windows PCs (very untechnical users).
I installed the RPM from the dialmon site, and I've tried editing the init files. I don't quite understand all of it yet, but I tried to add in the sample dialmon init, as well as changing the standard diald init.
Anyone out there able to give a step-by-step of what I need to do to be able to control my modem from Windows PCs?
