Topic: Users with empty passwords

Hi,

Is there a way to create users with empty password ?
I know doing this is a huge security lack but I still want to know if it is possible and how to do it.

This has been addressed before; the simplest way to do this, in my estimation, is to use Microsoft's TweakUI and have each workstation automatically login to the SME server with an appropriate username/password combination.  The other ways involve fiddling with the SME box to allow null passwords and would make your box VERY nonstandard.  TweakUI works great for this.

I know this would modify lots of stuff on my SME box but I want to do this with the SME box ...

How can I do that ?

Here is a wish : can empty passwords be an option of a future release of SME ?
This has been designed to work in an heterogen network (and especially with Windows based clients) but it can't be aligned on the way Windows manages it's passwords (size limit, character limit, password limit ...) this is then quite complicated to put a SME box in an existant Windows network without having to break everything (
