Topic: backup and restoring

- I have externall Sony tape drive SuperStore (paralel port version). did anyone get this running under SME 5x?
- Is there any way to backup users and their mailboxes from SME 5.1.2 with update 2 and restore them in to SME 5.5 with update 1?
Would be nice to preserve users passwords. But I have handfull of users so it wouldn't be a big problem to recreate users in new system and move user's home dir to new box.
I didn't upgrade due to the fact that I'm installing 5.5 on better PC.

I have not tried the Sony tape drive but I used the desktop backup on my SME 5.1.2 and restored it over a 5.5 fresh install and everything has been working fine, passwords and all.

I tested it on a developement server first. Just to make sure it would not hose anything. If you have the ability to test it before you do it on the production machine it may make you feel more at ease.
