DNS service & procmail
« on: March 23, 2001, 01:43:21 PM »
I´m using e-smith as the DNS server for my local network but it insists on pointing to itself when asked for the IP of www.mycompany.com and the actual web pages are located somewhere else. This is also true for the ftp server. How can I disable this hostname feature (www, ftp, proxy, mail, etc)?

Also, in order to use a general procmailrc file to filter spam *before* passing the messages to the users mailbox what modifications should be done? (only copying /var/qmail/boot/proc to /var/qmail/rc wont do the trick, right?)

Thank you.

http://www.e-smith.org/docs/manual

See the section on Hostnames and Addresses.

I suggest that you join the devinfo mailing list to discuss
detailed modifications such as these. This forum is not really
aimed at such changes.
