I have an e-smith server at home v. 5.1.2.  I am trying to access my Outlook at work through Web Access.  I am unable to get through.  I get as far as being asked for a user name and password, but they are never accepted.

Any ideas would be great, thanks...

Have your Exchange administrator follow Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - Q259240:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q259240

Next have your SME 5.1.2 admin open port 135.  Easiest way is to install and use my server-manager, Port opening panel:

I am running v5.5 and trying to use OWA to our corporate Exchange box from behind the SME server.  I can log in and then I get all the HTML framework for looking at the inbox, contacts, calendar, etc., but I can not get my mail messages to show up in the inbox.

The access.log file for SQUID shows:

1029596193.892     69 192.168.1.73 TCP_MISS/304 276 GET http://mail.2m.com/exchweb/views/standardview.xsl - DIRECT/65.192.94.20 -

1029596193.948      4 192.168.1.73 NONE/400 1667 NONE error:unsupported-request-method - NONE/- -

This is independent of whether I open port 135 or not (which I have tried using Darrell's port opening panel.

I'm running Win2K and IE6 on the client running OWA.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?  OWA works fine from internet connections that are not behind the SME v5.5 server.
