Multiport Serial cards
«

Has anyone installed a multiport serial card, like a Equinox or RocketPort card in their SME server? I want to hang a couple of modems on a server that I use for our POP3 mail so that users can dial directly into the SME server to get their email instead of going through an ISP.
I have used these on NT and CUBIX servers with good success but I don't find any threads on this PHORUM in regards to user experiences.
Best Regards;

Yes, I install one multiserial into
HP TC2110 with SME 5.5
If the card are linux-ready, you can:
a) cat /proc/pci ---> look to card IRQ and IO address
b) use setserial to assign IRQ, Address and speed to /dev/ttySx
