This my sound odd, but I need to make the SME box play well when the "period" at the end of an address is sent with it. (We all know that web-addresses actually have a period at the end, right?) Anyway, this issue is the new MacOS X 10.2 has some great new tech with it, but there is one slight problem with SMTP compatibility with the new Mail 1.2 app. It turns out that the system is appending the extra "." when trying to access Secure SMTP on the SME 5.5 box. This is causing the connection to fail. There is no sure fix for this from the client side at the moment, but the word is Microsoft has a fix for IIS that allows it to accept the ".". Is there a way to do this with the SME box?

I guess even that doesn't seem to work. The microsoft solution is because by default IIS does not do this, I just though the SME box also didn't, but it does it just fine. Sorry for the dumb post.
