Topic: Gateway Dialling up every 15 Minutes

Hi Every One I have an E-Smith Server that is dialling up every 15 to 30 Minutes , therefore we are receiving a very huge telephone account...
I have version 5.0 . Please help...

Chances are it's dialing up for a reason (Dial on demand).  I'd check your clients first to ensure they aren't:

1) Checking their external mail every X minutes
2) Using "Keep-alive" software
3) MSN or Kazaa
4) Etc...

this could be the result of a wrong configured DNS. Are u using DNS in your network??

I had the same problem untill I set the modem to be on continuous during office hours 8 till 6 pm. All woks like a dream. If your hours a different put a timer on the external modem power for a quick fix.
