Topic: Separate mail server

I was wondering if anyone has set up a separate web and mail server behind an e-smith server.  I only have two machines:

- one is my e-smith gateway and domain host
- and the other I want to use as a workstation.  I want to host my mail and websites here because it has a faster processor and stuff.

I have 4.1 so directing certain kinds of traffic to this machine is easy and I have already set up Apache.  But here is my question:

How do I manage my user accounts on my e-smith server when my mail accounts are on a different machine?


Any info would be great.
