Topic: phpmyadmin on e-smith server

I am trying to install phpmyadmin onto my e-smith server in order to manage some mysql databases, but I am experiencing problems.

I have downloaded version 2.1.0 and installed it directly into it's own ibay. When I run the index.php page i receive this error :

Parse error: parse error in /home/e-smith/files/ibays/phpmyadmin/html/phpmyadmin/lib.inc.php on line 1

I have changed the config.php file to contain my username and password, but to no avail. Am I missing something in the configuration process?...

Sussed it - it was a problem on my macintosh. I downloaded the files on my mac then transferred them to the ibay over AppleShare.

This created some unfriendly line breaks which e-smith didn't like.

Worked fine when the files came from my Windows machine.
