Nathan, i tried to e-mail you, but the mail bounced back as spam - anyways, i downloaded the file mentioned above. My question is :

In order to get this script working, i must change the pop and imap server from private, to public?

Yes (duh!).  For clients to connect on the external interface pop or imap should be set as public.
