I have just completed an install of sme 5.5 on a dell 1650 with dual e1000 gigabit cards P3 1260 cpu and two scsi 10k 36 gb hds 1gb ram.
Wow it is fast

JESUS!! Even Windows would be fast on those spec's!!
My SME firewall is a P75 with 64MB RAM, 2.1GB HDD, and a 10/100 nic, and a 56K modem.

Did an install on a PowerEdgeTM 1500SC and the network slowed down!! All the programs that are accessing files on the server are extremely slow. Did the e1000 card work without updating the drivers? If not, what did you do?
