Topic: dial up connection

Hi all

I've just installed e-smith for the first time and have most things up and running.

My query is when my server starts up it dials the Internet, I'd like it not to dial and only dial when it gets a request (ie for an external DNS) from the other machines on the network.

Hi Robyn.

I'm not sure how to help with the DNS auto connect, however, two things.

You can set up the connection to use short dial up times (I havent used it so your on your own to check it out.)

There is a RPM for manual control of the ISP connection
nstall this and you take manual control of the connection
