I configured an SME 5.1.2 as server gateway with static IP on a T1. I added Freeswan package. Just before install at remote location, I learned that cable access had been pushed out 6 to 8 months. I reconfigured SME to dial out and it is working fine. Since changing from a static IP to dialup, IPSEC shows Failed during the boot process. Should I be concerned?
Once cable access is available, the server will be reconfigured, removing the modem. Freeswan IPSEC server to server VPN will be used at that time.
