Topic: dialup stopped working

I worked for about 3 weeks without problems on my NT box connected to the e-smith server. The e-smith server dialups via a ZyXEL 2864i ISDN Modem hybrid. Everything worked ok.

Yesterday the e-smith suddenly stopped dialing up. There was no change at all at the e-smith configuration. Even directly from the console 2 on e-smith with lynx it doesn't dial up.

I now wrote this mail, because I connected directly with my NT box, so it cannot be the modem.

Did I again miss something?
Shall I reinstall the e-smith software?
Can I do that without loosing my i-bay stuff?

In answer to the last part of your question: If you are using 4.1.1 you can reinstall the system software by choosing the "upgrade" option when you boot from your CD. Only the system software appears to be touched. I don't know how this works on previous versions as I've not used them. I'm afraid I can't help with the other parts of your question however. Also you should carry out a backup as a matter of course when trying something like this. We all do that anyway don't we?
