Daley,
 Does that fragment (s99easydns) exist?
I've had some trouble with that rpm before, but haven't really been able to trace exactly what is wrong. It seems to be a little bit different everytime I install. I'm thinking there is an order of operation here that I'm just missing. However, I have managed to get it to work everytime with a little bit of mussing about.

Daley,

Darrels How To assumes that you have already configured your server for Dynamic DNS.

What you need to do is step 2 first. This will create the
/sbin/e-smith/dynamic-dns/custom file and set up the configuration parameters.

You then need to

[root@sme5 /root]# rpm -Uvh --force dmc-mitel-ez-ipupdate-3.0.10-0.noarch.rpm

This will force the re-installation of the rpm.

The rest is a case of following the How To

Hi Jon,

the error come out during the rpm installation, it looks i was unable to complete the setup, in fact, i followed exactly the readme.txt, the cut and paste snapshot was my second time installation.

I am using SME 5.5 with the latest update, will try the force installation later.

Thank you.

Jon,

After few tried, i manually created a file "custom" in /sbin/e-smith/dynamic-dns, only then you shd have no error while installing this rpm.

After that, you need to create the the template-custom for easydns.conf, else the process will be hang during the SME 5.5 startup.

That is what I did as well. Created a custom template with the easydns info in it expanded the template and rebooted, after that worked fine.
