I've just found that the home IMAP directory on my test box is Mail, rather than Maildir. I came across this when I created a Sent Items folder via IMP, as I didn't have one (I use IMP only infrequently on this box). This machine is a 5.1.2 server, which I think I upgraded from 4.1.2. My production box, which was a new install, is using Maildir.
I've checked the files in the IMAP rpms, and can't see where the directory type is set (or even if it can be configured).
Can this be resolved, and if so, how?
