Topic: RAV upgrade clients from ibay

I have RAV AntiVirus and would like to setup SME 5.1.2 to clients refresh their desktops version of RAV via ibay and NOT direct on internet.

The 'cheap mans' Norton Corporate A/V.  Great idea.  If RAV wants to compete in the business client A/V world it will need to address this type of issue.  Hope thee answer is a positive one.

RAV AntiVirus Desktop for Windows v 8.6.104 permits you to define any computer running RAV AntiVirus Desktop for Windows as an update server.

Simply launch RAV and go to:

Config > RAV Common > Server Update > Enable Server Update

And here is a wget script to mirror the RAV files. Note that the command at the end should all be on one line. I've upgraded to wget 1.8.2, so some arguments may be different from stock... You can download a compiled copy of 1.8.2 from http://www.chrouch.com/e-smith/ if you want. Just overwrite /usr/bin/wget with this copy...
